Accreditation

Proceso de acreditación

The PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies in Thought, Culture, and Society is accredited for a period of two years, which began on November 25, 2015 and lasts until November 25, 2017. As a means to guarantee the highest standards of quality, the program voluntarily sought assessment by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA). This institution points out the following:

The accreditation of graduate programs, corresponding to masters, doctorate, and specialties in the area of health and other equivalent levels, aims to certify the quality of programs offered by autonomous institutions of higher education, according to the goals of the various institutions and the criteria or standards established to this end by the scientific or disciplinary community.

This accreditation will be voluntary as long as current legislation does not stipulate otherwise (Source: CNA).

Coordinated by professors Claudia Montero and Ximena Faúndez, the DEI-UV accreditation procedure was launched in January 2015, incorporating the academic and student community at different stages, as well as the Office of Quality Management (DIRCAL-UV). This procedure culminated in November 2015 when the CNA returned the results of a final external report.
